Statement Necklace

Statement Necklace-Lettering Lately

Statement Necklace-Lettering Lately

Now that Spring has arrived (fingers crossed), I'm looking at Spring fashions...I do like those big statement necklaces, but I'm not really sure I can pull them off. So here's my attempt to make some kind of statement using them, but not wearing them.

Laughter

I'm a hopeful student of yoga... hopeful that I can actually make it to a class every now and then.  I really do enjoy it (and to all the naysayers, yes it does help one to get in shape!) As a reminder to myself, I opted in to a yoga email newsletter that recently had an article about laughter. It seems that "laughter is the best medicine" is not just a cliché, it's an actual thing. Laughing offers mental and physical health benefits, and faking it is fine. In fact there are laughter clubs all over the country helping people to engage in laughter yoga.  How happy.

Tweeting in my mind

I've been trying to get a better understanding of Twitter, since it seems like it's here to stay.  So I opened up a Twitter account and started following a few people.  I haven't tweeted yet, and I don't know when I will. I'm still unsure about the etiquette, what might be tweetable, and who would even read my tweets if I posted them.  However, I seem to be thinking about potential tweets quite often. Is it healthy to reduce your thoughts to 140 characters or less?

Lucky.

Lucky > Lettering Lately

Feeling lucky that I can work from home, squeezing in lettering and drawing during down time.  What makes you feel lucky?

It's Friday...

I wanted to try hand-lettering something longer and with a variety of styles for fun.
Loving the lyrics from the Cure's Friday I'm in Love.

Happy Friday!

Draw more!

I believe that hobbies can help us cut down on less productive activities. Something enjoyable that can fill our free time--what's the downside to that? If you do something you love more often, what will you do less?  Shop? Eat? Whine?
